We also have stretching class packs you can purchase that will help to support the consistency you need to improve your flexibility.
The free stretching class in Durham, NC is scheduled from 3:00pm – 4:00pm on Sunday, December 14th at our YOUTRAINFITNESS® private personal training facility for you. Note, this is a special event so the facility will be listed online as CLOSED.

WE ARE LOCATED IN SOUTH DURHAM NEAR (<2 MILES) NORTHWEST CARY
DESCRIPTION: This beginner stretching class focuses on guiding participants through gentle stretches that will target the upper, middle and lower body. Participants will need to be able to use the floor for performing the stretches for best results. We will begin the class with a warm-up to prepare the body for stretching then perform a sequence of stretches. We will hold each stretch for at least 60 seconds to support the research on how long a stretch should be held for improving flexibility.
A. Yes, the stretches will be performed on a mat (on the floor) so the participant must be comfortable with going down to the floor. We will not do any up, down, up, down stretching.
Once down, stretching will begin on the mat and end on the mat.
The class duration is 60 minutes.
We will do up to 41 stretches.
Each stretch will be held for 60 seconds.
These are gentle evidenced-based stretches for lengthening tight muscles.
We recommend that if you plan to participate, please share this information with your health care provider to receive guidance, if this class is suitable for you.
If you are not able to go down to the floor independently, we do offer a chair stretching class that you can take for free in place of the Sunday beginner stretching class. The chair stretching class includes leg-strengthening and balance exercises to help prevent falls. Please message me for more details; Arrangements will need to be made for this exception, which we will gladly make!

Finding YOUTRAINFITNESS has been the best thing to happen to my health! First of all, Patrick is just an all-around awesome, knowledgeable person and trainer. Secondly, the facility is immaculate! The clean, calming, and private atmosphere is the perfect setting to build my confidence without the insecurity of being in a busy public space. He is very encouraging and knows how to meet me at my level while challenging me appropriately. One of my favorite aspects of working with Patrick has been how much he pays attention to the little details to maximize progress and avoid injury. I’ve had experiences with other trainers that were not nearly as intentional about safety. At the same time, he has empowered me to learn my own limits and listen to my body. I am learning lots of exercises to incorporate into my life outside of our work together, and I’m already seeing improvements in my physical and mental health after just a few weeks. He somehow has found the ideal balance between helping me learn through consistency and keeping each session interesting by mixing it up.
