BEGINNER STRETCHES TO IMPROVE OVERALL FLEXIBILITY

LEVEL: This beginner class is perfect for those new to stretching and want to improve their flexibility.

WHEN: Various Saturdays 9:30am - 10:30am or 11:30am - 12:30pm (Trial)

Sundays 1:00pm - 2:00pm (Trial for November)

Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00pm - 8:00pm (Regular)

WHERE: YOUTRAINFITNESS® Facility Durham, NC

INSTRUCTOR: Patrick Service

DESCRIPTION: This beginner stretching class focuses on guiding participants through gentle stretches that will target the upper, middle and lower body.  Participants will need to be able to use the floor for performing the stretches for best results.  We will  begin the class with a warm-up to prepare the body for stretching then perform a sequence of stretches.  We will hold each stretch for at least 60 seconds to support the research on how long a stretch should be held for improving flexibility.

CHAIR STRETCHING, LEGS STRENGTHENING AND BALANCE EXERCISES

LEVEL: This beginner class is perfect for those who would like to use a chair for performing balance, legs strengthening and stretching exercises.

WHEN: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm - 2:00pm

WHERE: YOUTRAINFITNESS® Facility Durham, NC

SLOTS: 10 or fewer available

INSTRUCTOR: Patrick Service

DESCRIPTION: This beginner stretching class will focus on guiding participants through gentle chair stretches and include balance and leg strengthening exercises to help prevent falls.  We will first begin with a warm up, followed by a few balance and leg strengthening exercises.  For the remainder of the class we do a stretching routine for the muscles of the upper, middle and lower body.
