TRY US - If you have never taken stretching classes in Durham before or are looking for a new venue to work on your flexibility, it’s important that you find the right place that will meet your needs. Our classes are geared for beginners who want to improve their flexibility! We can introduce you to our classes in a manner that works for your skill level.
Two reasons we believe that you will like to work on your flexibility at our facility are:
1.) Our class sizes are small which allows the instructor to offer individualized attention to help you feel more comfortable.
2.) We've fostered an environment where every "body" is welcome and will be able to stretch at their own pace, based on their abilities.
If you would like to experience our classes, we offer a same day drop-in class (you must register four hours or more before the class begins) or class packs.
Our two introductory prepaid packages can be purchased in five or 10 packs. The five pack would be perfect to help you to identify if our facility and classes are just right for you. If this is your first time taking a stretching class at our facility, you are eligible for the introductory 3 pack.

- When your muscles are tight, they can hamper your overall ability to move with ease. In some cases, tight muscles can also lead to chronic low back pain, falls, and lack of mobility.
- Got low back pain? Stretching can help to lengthen the hamstring, hip flexor, piriformis, quadratus lumborum and other muscles which can be helpful to relieve sore backs. To enhance your progress, add some core exercises for improving stability.
- Got knee pain? Stretching can help to lengthen the quadriceps, hamstrings, gastrocnemius, illiotibial (IT Band) and calf muscles.

- Most individuals who participate in a physical activity program are usually performing exercises to improve their health-related fitness component.
- The health-related fitness components are Cardio-respiratory Endurance, Body Composition, Flexibility, Muscular Endurance and Muscular Strength.

- The Dumbbell Bench Press is performed for 3 sets of 12-15 repetitions for improving strength in the chest, front shoulders and triceps (back of arms).

- Other individuals (mostly athletes) who participate in a physical activity program (using mainly exercise) are working to improve their skill-related fitness components.
- The skill-related components of fitness are Agility, Balance, Coordination, Power, Reaction Time, and Speed.

- From this position, he may go into an inversion to perform a handstand.
