The answer to this question will vary based on your exercise training experience.  Once you’ve completed your intake form we can go into more details.  The data from your fitness assessment will also help.  In general, two to three days is recommended.  If you are a beginner I would recommend three days.  If you’ve had some previous exercise experience, I would recommend two.

 

 

How long should should I train during each session with a personal trainer in Durham?

In terms of how long during each lesson, this depends on your exercise goals and experience.  We offer 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and 1 hour lessons.  30 minutes and 45 minutes are suggested only if you have time constraints.  1 hour will provide the best results.  Each training lesson may cover the following as time allows:

  • A warm-up (at the beginning)
  • Mobility exercises (upper and lower body)
  • Balance exercises (static and/or dynamic)
  • Strength exercises (1-3 sets of upper, middle, and lower body)
  • Cardiovascular exercises
  • Cool-down
  • Flexibility exercises (stretching at the end)

 The longer the lessons, the more you will be able to accomplish.  The time invested is well worth the instructions you will receive.
